Earth Lovin' you say?--------------------------> well, Yes!

Metal makin can be a very dirty business.  Precious metals are not easily mined (that's part of what makes them precious!) The production of one beautiful gold ring from scratch can generate up to 5 tons of environmental waste, which can contaminate water and endanger the lives of humans and animals.  Luckily, we already have a wealth of precious metal in circulation. So, we have the choice to recycle our precious metal! Scrap metal is melted down, reconstituted, and viola! Just as good as new, but better. Moonspun jewelry chooses to use recycled metals and so honor the earth.

Moonspun Jewelry is a small, independant designer. We are commited to growing our business gradually and sustainably, always putting people, the environment, and finding the highest quality materials before profit. Katherine works from her mountain studio, using old world techniques to make each piece herself by hand, with love.

A portion of Moonspun proceeds are donated to deserving charities, non-profits, or interesting projects each month. If you think I should donate to your cause, tell me why at moonspunjewelry@gmail.com

This month's cause is Ayo Awosika's debut album.

February is all about Ayo Awosika's debut album. Ayo is a beautiful, local musician who has been swooning crowds with her stunning singing voice accompanied by sultry piano playing for years. She has toured across the country and has made a name for herself as a working musician. She is ready to take the next step with her music career by recording her first full length original album! Ayo has launched a kick-starter campaign to help with the cost of producing her record and needs the support of people like us to make her dreams a reality!

Moonspun jewelry is tickled pink to donate 7% of February sales to Ayo's first album.
